What in the world is INTERNET REX?
Well, first off, it is a catchy title meant to ensnare the curious, aka all the techies in SILICON VALLEY. And anyone else who might be interested for whatever reason.
INTERNET REX is what I believe the next big thing coming to the internet will be. I toyed with another pet name, but i will save that for another day. But what is the next big thing emanating from the dark reaches of Silicon Valley?
Will it be a Artificial Intelligence driven, Big Data collecting, Machine Learning behemoth, equipped with Herding Bots? As Bots already exist today and I don't believe it would be a difficult tasks to re-purpose them to steer users to a desired destination. Could it be happening now? I am going to go out on a limb and say that is it. Fact of the matter, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Machine Learning and Bots already exist now, so why would I not believe that we are not presently guinea pigs? But, for who are we guinea pigs? I understand TIK TOK has some new surprises coming soon as well. But as to who else has what, I do not know and I do not want to guess.
The appearance of TIK TOK has been a real eye opener for me. No, I have no interest in TIK TOK, but, those have shown interest in purchasing TIK TOK really made more than one group show their hand. I was totally taken aback. WOW!
While I admire the genius of Zhang Yiming, the Chinese internet entrepreneur who founded ByteDance in 2012, I do believe he is beatable. And,,,,, without Artificial Intelligence, Big Data collecting , Machine Learning and the use of Bots.
Who am I to be able to make such a statement? My name is Michael and I do technology. PROJECT PHENOMENON, to be more precise. And I am positive that means absolutely zero to the current generation in Silicon Valley. Their might be a few of the Older Principles of Silicon Valley that might recall when I shopped it around Silicon Valley prior to 2010.
I will bet when they hear that PROJECT PHENOMENON is alive and well they might be cringing more than a little. Oh well, snooze and you lose.
As I see it, nothing in Silicon Valley has changed much. It is still the same cut-throat, dog eat dog place it was back in the day. Some players have since changed their names. There are a few new players. And yes, some of the technologies envisioned or portrayed back in the day have actually evolved.
Can I really build INTERNET REX? Well, that ship has already sailed. Constructing a port to dock INTERNET REX, where ever that might be, is all that is left. Will the dock be constructed at
Alphabet, aka Google
Amazon
AT&T
Apple
Disney
Meta, aka Facebook
Microsoft
Netflix
Oracle
Samsung
Snap, aka Snapchat
Softbank
T Mobile
Verizon
Yahoo!
or at some other port?
I do not know at this point in time. There are some instances /scenarios where the construction site of the port might not even be locate in the United States. But, the logical and logistical construction site would be the USA.
Japan, India, Australia, South Korea are also options. And, there are several others as well. Just saying.
As to whom I wish to associate or partner with? That would of course be Alphabet aka Google.
The "dream team" would be Alphabet (aka Google), Meta (aka Facebook), Amazon, and Samsung.
Or not. But we shall soon know.
But, I do not know the minds of the leaders of all the internet entities that I have listed in this small body of work. But, I do know what is to be lost or gained for each and every one of those entities.
I do know that there is one rule on the internet landscape. No internet entity can set back on their back sides and let competitors gain the advantage. When internet entities do set back and allow others to achieve the advantage the term "Yahoo moment" is used to describe it.
I dearly love Yahoo! and always will. But, well, as a result of the past Yahoo! leaderships decisions it (Yahoo!) was cast to the depths of the internet. Will it (Yahoo!) re-emerge to it's once exalted stature as leader of the internet? Well, it is possible, but in my opinion, not probable. I personally would love to see Yahoo! back on top.
Good luck to all, but there can be only one INTERNET REX! And, may the INTERNET GODS have mercy on the rest.
Just saying!
