In the worlds past there was a time when maps of the oceans and lands were scarce and where there existed maps that indicated the unknown and uncharted regions of both oceans and lands the map makers would fill in the unknown regions with drawings of imagined creatures, some of which resembled mythical dragons. And just to make those uncharted regions more mysterious the map makers were said to have indicated these regions as "Here there be Dragons".
Only the brave and the bold went sailing or traveling into the uncharted regions. Is not that exactly what the CEO of Meta (aka Facebook) is doing? Going boldly where no one has gone before into the METAVERSE. The Facebook platform is standalone now and he has turned his attention to the metaverse.
But Mr. Zuckerberg is not alone in his exploring new regions. Mr. Musk has a history of accomplishing the unknown. Tesla, StarLink, and SpaceX are all tremendous achievements. If the regulatory agencies would allow him to move faster he would already have been to the moon and back. And just maybe crews would already be packing their bags for the voyage to the Mars. I am not sure why people do not get out of Mr. Musk's way and let him go forward.
But, there are always naysayers. Many individuals are trying to persuade Mr. Zuckerberg and Mr. Musk to abandon the efforts or slow them down. These same individuals are without vision.
If our ancestors were of the mind we would still be huddled around the safety of the fire, in the cave grunting at one another.
In my opinion, individuals that are screaming "Here there be dragons!" and "Do not go there!" are the same individuals that are looking at a map laid out flat on the table and are worried about sailing or trekking over the edge and falling off into unknown oblivion. Yes, they are all just a bunch of flat earthers.
It is my sincerest hope that one day I can travel to the Metaverse and explore it. Equally, I would love to be able to stand on Mars and look back at earth. That would most definitely be a hoot.
