Evolution may be defined as any net directional change or any cumulative change in the characteristics of organisms or populations over many generations. Charles Darwin proposed that species can change over time, that new species come from pre-existing species, and that all species share a common ancestor.
Revolution may be defined as a forcible overthrow of a government or social order, in favor of a new system.
Q; The difference between the word "evolution and revolution" is what? A; One letter!
How do these two words apply to Silicon Valley where the true currency that rules the region is not the the dollar but technology. Old tech serves to devalue corporations, new technology serves to increase the value of corporations. So everything must evolve.
Personally, I love technology. Before I stepped into the internet landscape I worked in what I term as hard tech. Manufacturing of plastic products, steel products, foundry operations and never really "worked" a single day. Simply because it was fun for me. Everything I did, every task I performed, every product my efforts yielded, I strove to find ways to do it easier, faster, cheaper, and make the product or the operation better. So, for me it was crazy fun for me.
But here on the internet, I am like a kid in a candy store. But, here I cannot make the internet easier or faster. Here on the internet it is all about the content, what is it, where is it, and who is interested. And I am neck deep and in the very center of it. And I am loving every minute of it. Thank you PROJECT OR for getting me here.
PROJECT PHENOMENON, the project I have been pursuing since I finished PROJECT OR is evolution / evolutionary, more accurately stated, an evolutionary "leap" from where a number of industries located both on and off the internet landscape are today. The question is where it is a leap to?
The status quo in the tech world has been relatively stagnant between the time Meta (aka Facebook) appeared and arrival of TIK TOK. While I, like many others marvel at success of TIK TOK I do not believe that it is a advantageous to turn internet users into "DOOM SCROLLING DOPAMINE ADDICTS. Nor do I agree with duplicating the technology as some have attempted or successfully achieved.
Everyone would agree that content is the key to attracting users. Internet users are a very unique group. They will follow unique content where ever it is posted. When the content is no longer unique users will abandon the old content for the new unique content always.
Unique content must be age appropriate. What appeals to a younger person may indeed be of less interest to an older person, and vise versa.
Unique content must be culturally appropriate. Religion (such as Muslim Regions) must be considered if you want unique product to be available in those regions.
No, unique content cannot be available in regions where it is not convenient to do business. It is a simple fact these days that there are regions / governments in the world that do not allow their populations access to the internet beyond their borders. And, that is their prerogative. It is that government's right to do so. Who am I to argue if it is right or wrong.
Is PROJECT PHENOMENON "revolutionary tech? That is a difficult question for me to answer. The project is unique to the internet and yes, things will change. And corporations that exist today on the internet landscape are going to notice it and may be impacted. Internet user traffic has its ebbs and flow much like a river. Sometimes there are events that take place that changes the course of a river such as earthquakes, which can easily change the course of a river.
Earthquakes are a natural phenomenon.
PROJECT PHENOMENON is not a natural phenomenon.
